Pirouette Medical has come a long way from our first designs to our groundbreaking auto-injector today, driven by our team’s commitment to enhancing patient care. I am so proud of all that we have accomplished - let’s take a look back! 💡The Initial Concept: Pirouette began with a powerful idea: make life-saving injections as easy as pushing a button. Our early prototype was a compact, portable, disk-like shape to simplify administration. 🤝Adding User Guidance: We added clear instructions with the goal of ensuring anyone could administer an injection correctly on the first try, improving success rates and safety. ⚙️Refining the Design: We made the device even more user-friendly with detailed instructions and brighter colors. 📍Pirouette Today: Today, Pirouette features top-mounted instructions and intuitive operation. “The biggest learning for me and the biggest excitement with the community round is every time somebody invests, there's a little box where they get to put in information about why they're investing. Some folks don't say anything, but a lot of them do. It's been so rewarding for me to read through those comments and just hear the stories about family members and loved ones who see how they could use our technology.” Meet Conor Cullinane, PhD, an aeronautical engineer by training who went from designing NASA space suits to developing novel #medicaldevices. Conor has an impressive resume that includes Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He, along with two other rocket scientists, co-founded Pirouette Medical, a startup developing Quicpush, a disk-shaped autoinjector that delivers medicines with just the push of a button.
