Last month, on May 16, 2024, I had the honor of being awarded a scholarship from the CMAA Northern California Chapter. I am humbled to be receiving this award alongside well-deserved students. The scholarship was designed to recognize and provide financial assistance to Northern California area college students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate-level construction management programs. Thanks to this generous scholarship, I am one step closer to achieving my dream and goal of getting my bachelor’s degree in construction management with a minor in business administration. This scholarship will also help me further invest in my next goal of getting my master’s degree in business administration later on. I am profoundly thankful to the scholarship committee, Mike Sandlin, karillin Yiu, Hannah Lee, Vini Shah, and especially Lukas Allred, for their support and recognition towards furthering my education and career. I’d also like to thanks Placement Club and Delve Underground for sponsoring the scholarship. The CMAA Northern California Chapter was awarded the National Chapter of the Year at the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Conference in Washington DC. Our entire Board and volunteers worked throughout the year to put on industry leading education programs, special events, webinars, sustainability development, small/diverse business forums, job fairs, project tours, owners forums, and donated $50,000 to student scholarships, while growing our membership by over 300 new members to 1,500 total in NorCal.
