Accelerating PG for AEs. Poggio AI co-develops POVs, account plans, and business cases so that enterprise sellers can win a seat at the table faster and more effectively.

Poggio hiring roundup before the weekend (JDs in comments) 1. Enterprise Account Executive: We have too much pipeline to work, and we need your help. You need to wake up excited to sell to CROs and VPs of Sales. They're tough customers. 2. Senior Software Engineer (Product): We have so much that we need to build, and customers are asking for more every day. The UI and UX we're building doesn't exist yet, and we need your help to invent and build it. 3. Senior Software Engineer (Data / ML): We've built a robust agent platform that's been in prod with public companies for 9+ months, but we're just getting started, and the state of the art moves fast. Help us stay even further ahead of it. Apply online, and/or contact me, Scott Campbell (for sales), or Connor Doyle (for eng) so we can get you routed to the right place.

EXTREMELY EXCITED to open a new role at Poggio: Enterprise Account Executive. It's been a crazy quarter and we're excited to expand the team on the back of our first VP Sales starting. We're looking for someone that LOVES sales and wants the opportunity to solve problems for sales leaders and sales reps at some of the top software companies on planet earth. You don't need to be a current Poggio user to apply, but we definitely want to hear from folks who have seen the magic first hand are excited to bring that enthusiasm and experience to our customers.

Steak dinners are back. Andreessen Horowitz shared a new report on why software sales is so hard right now. All the usual suspects are there - macro uncertainty, COVID spending hangover, consolidation. PLG companies are getting hit especially hard on growth, managing 18% on average in 2023 compared to 24% growth in top-down sales companies. One thing that cuts through the struggle? Relationships. The CIO of a chemicals multinational: "If the investment is above a certain threshold, they have to come to us. . . . We also tightened up the guardrails, and therefore the threshold investment limits have probably come down a bit." Plan accordingly. Link to report in comments.

The future is here, it's just not evenly distributed. 🛸

For all the sellers quotes we've been posting this week, this one might be my favorite. AI is changing everything about how sellers relate to both prospects and their own day to day work. This seller used Poggio to generate a business case for a new opportunity. The prospect straight up asked her: "How did you know all this?" Confessing that she used Poggio, they were incredulous. Like Marc Benioff said this week, the new generation of AI products won't stop at "nasty copilots." The real opportunity is to build entirely AI-native, rethought from the ground up to augment users at the workflow level itself: performing actual work, not just suggesting it. This isn't sci-fi... it's here now, and we know that because we built it. But as always, the future is not evenly distributed. We're pumped to be leading the charge to augment sellers here at Poggio.

You probably see us posting a lot about customer love here at Poggio. We have an internal Slack channel where we share it all, and we got so excited about it that we decided to take our favorite customer quotes to the streets of SF for Dreamforce! We're running five real customer quotes as ads throughout the city. Catch one on your way to the Moscone Center? Post a photo, tag us, and we'll send you a bag of our limited-edition "Coffee is for Closers" blend - just in time for EOQ.

Excited to see Monarch on TWO podiums at Rás na mBan in Ireland last weekend! Poggio are proud sponsors of Monarch, which was founded in 2023 to provide a pipeline for young American women to pursue pro cycling careers. At Poggio, we think that cycling (and endurance sports in general) are a great metaphor for company building— teamwork, dedication, and a commitment to doing the small things right, day in and day out. In cycling, you usually only hear the names of the winners… but every win is the result of selfless work by the rest of the team, who go unnoticed to most of the outside world. We feel that it's such a good metaphor for company building that our company name is an allusion to Milan–San Remo, one of the oldest bicycles races in the world. Which is why when we found out that Helena Gilbert-Snyder was starting Monarch to fill a massive void in the US women's cycling scene, we were ecstatic to jump on as early partners, and it's been a joy to watch them continue to raise the bar. In addition to racing, Monarch is also committed to mentoring the next generation of female cyclists in America, leading sit-down discussions about women’s health, training, and nutrition with U19 girls to de-stigmatize and empower them as they encounter challenges through their growth as individuals and athletes. Every rider on the team is required to lead or volunteer at community events— this year that has included a cycling gear exchange, social ride, memorial ride for a local cyclist, collegiate women’s road skills clinic, skills clinic at Tour of America’s Dairyland, and volunteering at local bike races and city events. At Poggio we're excited to work with trailblazing organizations of all kinds: our customers, partners, investors, and more and proud to continue our support of Monarch Racing as they break down barriers for women to achieve their dreams in pro cycling. Also want to give a huge thanks to the many other incredible organizations that are sponsoring Monarch Racing...
