Intersectional feminist platform & global movement for inclusive participation of young women in politics.
About us
Politics4Her is an intersectional feminist platform & global youth-led movement advocating for the inclusive participation of young women and girls in politics, civil society, and decision-making processes. Politics4Her is a movement driven by the belief that young women and girls hold the power to create a more equitable and just world. Our platform is a place where every girl and woman can be heard, valued and recognized as an agent of change. We are driven by the conviction that intersectional feminism is not just a theory, but a powerful tool for dismantling systems of oppression and creating a world where every individual can flourish. We recognize the challenges that young women and girls face when it comes to accessing political power and leadership roles, and we are committed to breaking down those barriers by providing them with the resources, skills, and networks and develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to thrive as agents of change. What makes Politics4Her so special is its commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of its work. At the heart of Politics4Her's mission is the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table and a voice in shaping the policies and decisions that affect their lives. By promoting gender equality, intersectionality, and social justice, Politics4Her seeks to create a more equitable and inclusive world for all.

The audacity of these well-funded, anti-abortion/anti-rights groups showing up at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women with their propaganda is disgusting. Where is this energy when women and girls are being r@ped, mutilated, and used as weapons of war in Palestine, Congo, Sudan and many more? Where is the energy for gender apartheid in Afghanistan and Iran? Where are their flashy billboards when hospitals are being bombed, when pregnant women are bleeding out at checkpoints, when survivors of sexual violence are denied emergency contraception and safe abortion? This is not about “protecting life.” It’s about control. It’s about upholding systems of violence that keep women powerless while turning a blind eye to the genocides and conflicts where women’s bodies are the first battleground. These groups don’t care about the women forced to carry pregnancies from r@pe in war zones. They don’t care about the mothers dying in childbirth because their healthcare systems have been decimated by colonialism and occupation. They don’t care about the Black, Brown, and Indigenous women who are sterilized without consent while white supremacist governments talk about “family values.” If they truly valued life, they would be fighting for access to healthcare, SRHR, safety, and dignity. They would be standing against genocide, forced displacement, and systemic violence. But instead, they spend millions spreading fear, harassing activists, and silencing those fighting for real justice. CSW is supposed to be a space for advancing rights, but every year, we see these extremists show up with their lies and their money, trying to drag us backward. We will not be silenced. We will not let them hijack this space. Women’s rights are non-negotiable. Reproductive justice is non-negotiable. Liberation is non-negotiable.

🌟 Participating in a conference on the margins of #CSW69 at The People's Forum in New York with the young feminists from the SWANA region was a profoundly impactful experience. The energy and resolve radiated through the screen, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to liberation. The discussions were both insightful and urgent, addressing critical issues ranging from conflict-related sexual violence and economic instability to the imperative of environmental justice and solidarity with the Palestinian struggle. Hearing from leaders like the founder of Politics4Her Yasmina Benslimane, Climate Sirens co-founder Rania Harrara (رانيا حرارة), Bayadir Mohamed-Osman, MPH, Vian K Hussein, Duha Shellah, Batoul Hamzy, and Rez Gardi underscored the importance of creating inclusive spaces and amplifying marginalized voices. The launch of the Women for Sudan campaign and the honoring of feminist pioneers served as a powerful reminder of the collective strength required to effect meaningful change. Even through a virtual platform, the sense of unity was palpable. We must support these remarkable young women as they drive progress toward a more just and equitable future.✨🤞🏻#CSW69 #SWANA #CSW70 #FeministLiberation #YouthLeadership

NEW ARTICLE! 📲 "Reproductive justice is interwoven with basic human rights, magnifying the importance of access. It’s not enough to understand what we want as individuals, we need a societal shift that allows people to obtain quality resources to safely manage their pregnancy or abortion." In this piece, Vianey Estrada explores how reproductive justice goes beyond individual choices, advocating for a world where all women and pregnant people, especially those from marginalized backgrounds, can access safe, quality reproductive healthcare. #CSW69: it's an (unusual) wrap for me! I’m writing this on my flight back to Italy from New York, and I can’t deny it—my #CSW69 wasn’t exactly “exciting” or “fulfilling” like many of you here on LinkedIn have described. In fact, my ten days at the United Nations have been exhausting, angry, and deeply disappointing. I spent 10 hours a day listening to data, statistics, and promises—while my phone kept flooding with images of displaced women, pregnant women murd3r3d, and orphaned, malnourished children left alone in the streets of Gaza. We listened to data, statistics, and promises, but none of it truly made sense—because the very women we were talking about were being kill3d at that exact moment. Yes, the gender gap is important. Yes, intergenerational collaboration is an interesting conversation. Talking about digital violence? Useful. Millie Bobby Brown’s speech for UNICEF? Nice. António Guterres’ kind words? Very appreciated. But what’s left today? For me, what remains are the colleagues I met in those dazzling UN halls, just as frustrated and disillusioned as I am. What remains is the certainty that we need to tear it all down and rebuild from the ground up—until the United Nations becomes (or finally starts being?) what it has always claimed to be: a community capable of protecting, rescuing, and uplifting women and girls everywhere. Thank you Politics4Her and Nazra for Feminist Studies for trusting me this time. I promise I’ll always do my best to be part of the change we need. With all my love, Benedetta

Yesterday, Politics4Her attended the United Nations Security Council’s meeting called after Israel’s bombings on Gaza two nights ago, which ended the ceasefire and killed over 300 innocent civilians. Once again, nothing useful came out of the reunion, despite the repeated and urgent pleas of Palestinian representative Riyad Mansour. As he put it: if the Council cannot act, does it really have a reason to exist? However, our girls don’t just sit and listen. The same afternoon, fearless activists joined the P4H team in NYC to call out the UN’s inadequacy and the system’s passivity in the face of genocide and gender-based violence across the SWANA region. Dozens of women attended the event, contributing to unique and groundbreaking discussions, so here’s another huge shoutout to all the young women working every day to amplify the voices and pain that institutions have ignored for decades: Yasmina Benslimane, Rania Harrara (رانيا حرارة), Farah Kanbi, Abrar Tarig, Bayadir Mohamed-Osman, MPH, Vian K Hussein, Duha Shellah, Batoul Hamzy, and Rez Gardi—you are powerful. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me. #CSW69 has been great because of you.
