Huge thank you to the incredible Anna TenBroek for lighting up my Capstone class at Georgetown University this week with her wit, wisdom and an unexpected throwback to her baby modeling days! (Or as Anna said, “…and now you’ve heard about when I professionally peaked.” 😂) From elementary education to media relations pro, Anna has done it all—and she even threw in a Backyardigans clip to show what makes news, well, news. I will say, I wasn't sure where she was going with that at first, but you don't question an expert mid-masterpiece. And it was a 10/10 choice. Anna shared so many earned media strategy gems that are going to help my students tackle their client projects this semester—clients ranging from NBA teams and climate nonprofits to community banks, military installations, and grocery startups. Anna gave great tips for real-world application that are going to help these graduate students deliver smart thinking for their clients.
