A majority say they’re experiencing burnout due to administrative burdens, according to a new report from Google Cloud and the Harris Poll. There’s optimism that generative AI will help, the report says. Here are our main takeaways: 🤖 Clinicians spend 28 to 36 hours weekly on administrative tasks, contributing to significant burnout, with 82% of clinicians and 81% of staff reporting symptoms. 🤖 A vast majority of healthcare providers (91%) and payers (97%) believe generative AI can reduce administrative workloads and help clinicians focus more on patient care. 🤖 Organizations like HCA Healthcare and Highmark Health are testing AI solutions for tasks like patient handoffs and prior authorization, showing promise in improving efficiency and reducing staff stress. #AIInHealthCare #HealthcareInnovation #HealthcareBurnout
