Can AI give your product a competitive advantage? 🤖 🤔 According to Lucas Nivon, CEO of Cyrus Biotechnology, it’s all about the innovation mindset. He warns against getting stuck on AI-driven tools just for the sake of them. “It’s less about #AI and more about making valuable products in the real world.” When Lucas spoke to Scott’s AI in #ProductDevelopment class this past spring at the University of Washington Bothell, he touched on AI's unique capabilities in #biotech and how those capabilities needed to be mapped to real clinical needs. “If you’re going to work in biologics, your new product has to be at the intersection of the two.” Although #genAI is transformative, its power is magnified tenfold or more when coupled with traditional AI and physics-based tools. Over time, AI tools will likely surpass traditional tools (it’s already beginning to happen), but in biologics discovery, it’s more about the clinical impact than the diversity of your models or ability to generate data. Lucas, thank you for letting us peek behind the Cyrus Biotech curtains and for teaching our future engineers about the importance of both a skill set and a mindset when it comes to AI-driven innovation.
