Consumer confidence is rising according to the latest data from the Consumer Confidence Index. While this boost does highlight increased optimism regarding business conditions, the labor market, and future income, it is important to note that housing market strains – specifically inventory shortages, elevated home prices, and high interest rates – continue to keep families out of the market.
