Provivi and Ximo Hungary Kft. announce a Strategic Agreement. The partnership results in lower costs and more sustainable chemical processes to create pheromone-based products for crop protection. We are thrilled to announce a development, sales, and licensing agreement with XiMo Hungary kft, a Verbio SE subsidiary and notable developer and producer of metathesis #catalysts. The agreement grants Provivi an exclusive license to all catalysts under XiMo’s IP in #pheromone production for agriculture, commercial, household, and public health pest management. XiMo receives license payments under this agreement and produces the metathesis catalysts at scale. In addition, XiMo is currently constructing a dedicated production facility for tons of Schrock-type and other metathesis catalysts, which is planned to be in commission in 2025, opening many new application areas for cost-effective XiMo catalysts. Researchers reported an increase in both the diversity and abundance of species when using Provivi®️ mating disruption pheromones in a maize agroecosystem in Sinaloa The study took place in the fall-winter season of 2019, specifically in three farmers' plots situated in commercially representative maize regions within the state of Sinaloa. Due to the growing problem that the presence of fall armyworm represents for cotton farmers in Brazil, the international magazine “Entomological Communications” published in October 2023 the Bioassay “Mating suppression and damage reduction of Spodoptera frugiperda ( J. E. Smith, 1797) in cotton”, where the effectiveness of Provivi's Pherogen®️ Spray FAW mating disruption pheromone is demonstrated as a sustainable tool within the integrated management of this pest. Mexican growers of Sorghum, Wheat, Barley, Oats, Rice, Triticale and Rye will now also be able to benefit from Provivi FAW®️ technology for the prevention of fall armyworm In August 2023, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) and the Ministry of Health of Mexico, issued a favorable resolution regarding the request for technical modification of health registration No. RSCO- ATRA-0910H-X0003-446-89.07, for the expansion of the use of Provivi FAW®️ in addition to Maize, to the crops of Sorghum, Wheat, Barley, Oats, Rice, Triticale and Rye. Provivi FAW®️ is a controlled release dispenser of sex pheromones, identical to the ones the female releases, to confuse male moths and thus disrupt mating. It is a preventive tool within the Integrated Pest Management of the fall armyworm, to avoid populations reaching pest levels and causing significant economic damage to the grower.
