It’s National Drive Electric Week! Since this time last year, PSE launched three new programs aimed at making it easier and more affordable for our customers to switch to an electric vehicle by expanding access to EV charging. If you’re an EV driver looking to upgrade your home charging, an organization that wants to offer charging to employees, or a community with a desire to provide public charging, our new incentives and rebates can cover up to 100% of the cost. We believe electricity is the transportation fuel of the future and that accelerating the electrification of transportation is vital to achieving carbon reduction goals and creating a more equitable clean energy future. We are excited to announce that will be adding two clean energy projects in our state. One will be a new utility scale-solar farm at our existing Lower Snake River Wind facility. The other is a power purchase agreement we have made for a Battery Energy Storage System in Pierce County. Both projects will be able to generate up to 342 MW of energy to help our commitment to diversify our renewable resource mix and meet the state’s CETA targets. PSE works every day to ensure reliability and safety while delivering power to millions of Washingtonians. A new way we're doing this is through Gridscope, a device with real-time monitoring for the grid: http://ms.spr.ly/6048mnJBy These solar-powered devices remain online even during power outages, which will give PSE a greater level of confidence and awareness during live situations.

Thanks to our Green Power and Solar Choice participants, El Centro de la Raza in Federal Way has "rolled out" a new 14-kilowatt solar array. This will replace a portion of their electricity bill to keep the fun times going at a low cost while also putting more resources into serving their community. Your business can support projects like this by enrolling in renewable energy: http://ms.spr.ly/6041lCDDS

We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Douglas County PUD by signing a power purchase agreement to receive a slice of surplus hydropower from their Wells Hydroelectric Project. Under the seven-year agreement, we will receive 79 MW in 2026. The share of the Wells Hydroelectric Project will increase to 159 MW in 2032. This is enough energy to power over 70,000 homes in 2032 with clean, carbon free, and reliable hydropower. Read more here: http://ms.spr.ly/6044mDoMp
