Meet Rey Moraga Director of Guest Experiences at Raffles Boston and a master in the art of living well. Hospitality runs through Rey’s veins. As this born hotelier will tell you, ‘Hospitality is not just an industry – it is, first of all, an attitude. Small acts of kindness always make a big difference.’ A voracious aesthete with an intrinsic passion for discovering new cultures and learning new skills, he developed his taste for the finer things in life working in the culinary arts at the Michelin-starred establishments of French chef Alain Ducasse in Paris. Rey joined the Raffles team at Raffles Makati as a concierge, where his professionalism and enthusiasm gained him membership into the prestigious Les Clefs d’Or in just two short years. Twelve years later, Rey has served as an integral part of our teams all over the world, from his native Philippines to Cambodia, and now the United States. His many decorations include being named Accor’s most outstanding employee in Asia Pacific in 2017 and Hotelier of the Year by the highly respected Stelliers Awards in 2020. The self-confessed globetrotter is sure to make his presence felt in the best of ways at our home in the Back Bay, using his vast knowledge and ceaseless curiosity to create truly memorable experiences that ‘captivate the imagination of our guests’.

Last week, we hosted a fantastic networking cocktail reception in collaboration with Emerge Event Collective, Entertainment Specialist, Winston Flowers, Dez Collectives, PEAK Event Services, Tasha Brackens Events, Ricky Rodriguez Photography, Key Moment Film, A Good Day Inc, My Drap, and Pazzi Gelato & Pasta Market, uniting New England wedding and event planners. This interactive and innovative event provided a platform for industry professionals to share their experiences, celebrate successes, and support each other contributions to the community.
