Rahab's Daughters

At our Indiana safe house, we recently welcomed someone who, like many survivors of human trafficking, was unsure of what her future would look like. When she arrived, she was quiet, reserved, and understandably hesitant. But over time, something changed. Through the support and care, she started to open up. Slowly, she began attending counselling sessions, engaging in skills workshops, and connecting with others who had been through similar experiences. It didn’t happen overnight, but each day brought small steps forward. Now, she’s working toward her goals, regaining her independence, and finding her sense of self again. The safe house played a crucial role in this process—it provided the safety and stability she needed to begin her journey of healing. This story is not just hers. We're looking for passionate Outreach Volunteers to join us during TIFF! Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you want to help spread awareness and combat human trafficking? Join us as an Outreach Volunteer this TIFF and be part of a powerful movement to raise awareness and support survivors on their journey to freedom. As an Outreach Volunteer, you’ll: - Participate in community outreach and public events, spreading our message. - Educate people on the signs of human trafficking and how to seek help. - Build relationships with local organizations to expand our reach. - Help organize and attend awareness events and workshops. - Collaborate with our team to create effective outreach strategies. Qualifications: - Passionate about advocacy and raising awareness. - Strong communication skills with diverse audiences. - Experience in outreach or public speaking is a plus. - Ability to work independently and with a team. Over a century of cinema has shaped how we see the world, but it has also shaped how we see human trafficking. Films often focus on the most sensational aspects—sex trafficking, forced captivity, and dramatic rescues—leaving out the everyday horrors of labor trafficking, domestic servitude, and psychological abuse.
