🚀 Acquisition announcement: JLL acquires Raise Commercial Real Estate to deliver better client outcomes through improved digital leasing capabilities. Founded in San Francisco in 2016, Raise was the first brokerage to create a digital real estate management platform and has grown rapidly to have offices across the United States. Co-Founder and CEO of Raise, Justin Bedecarre, will report to Andy Poppink as Head of Americas Leasing Innovation and will be responsible for leading Raise’s integration into JLL’s U.S. leasing business. Big news! I am so excited to share that Raise has entered a definitive agreement to join JLL. We expect the deal to close in the coming weeks pending regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Raise’s mission has always been to help companies find, build, and manage workplaces they love and to make an industry we love into an industry we are proud of. By joining forces with JLL, we have the opportunity to fulfill that mission at the biggest scale...on the biggest stage. I could not be more proud of our team and what we have accomplished. Our business is the strongest it’s ever been. We have the highest caliber team we’ve ever had. Our clients, many of whom are on the cutting edge of defining how we interact with technology and all of whom are leaders and game changers in their fields, are seeing unmatched success on our platform. And we weathered multiple pterodactyl sized black swans, including  the most significant black swan event our industry has ever seen with Covid. And it only made us stronger. As a founder, I did not think it would be an easy choice to sell the company I started and ran for the better part of a decade and which became my life’s work. Yet, the more I got to know the JLL team and their vision, it became a no-brainer that this was the best path for Raise and JLL. Our two firms have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform the brokerage business. We are joining forces at the exact right time to create tremendous value and lasting impact. Raise and JLL clients are some of the best companies in the world and deserve a best-in-class experience. We’re taking leasing to the next level! Nine years ago, I started Raise in my apartment with a small group of people and a dream. Since then we have expanded across the country. We have worked with thousands of companies and accelerated the careers of so many amazing brokers and employees. I can't wait to see those numbers grow over the coming years. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Raise team who have made it an incredible journey so far and deserve all the credit for this outcome. It was amazing reconnecting with so many great friends and colleagues!
