The “middle manager” demographic often doesn’t get the consideration it both needs and deserves when it comes to entrenching purpose in company culture. And that’s a big mistake. ❌ Middle managers are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between executive aspirations and frontline execution. 🤝 However, the role of middle managers in this context is not without its challenges. It requires a shift from traditional management practices focused solely on productivity and performance to a more holistic approach that values the individual and their contribution to the company’s mission. 💗 So, how can you showcase the value of social impact to middle managers? 🤔 Unfortunately, there’s no quick fix, but we’ve come up with some options to help you get your middle managers on board: 👟 Implement a “Day in Their Shoes” initiative 👥 Implement a peer-to-peer coaching program ⭐ Integrate purpose into performance management 🔍 Create a middle manager advisory board 🧡 Develop a purpose-driven mentorship program These options can feel like a big lift, we know. The truth of the type of work we do is that it is heavily and necessarily relational. We cannot develop and sustain social impact programs if we are not centering and focusing our energy on people, and that includes our permission-givers in the business. 👉 In this blog, we dive into some pointers to get a head start and unlock the potential of the “frozen middle”: https://bit.ly/4dD8whB #purpose #workplaceculture #csr #socialimpact #employeevolunteering

As a CSR manager, you know the transformative potential of employee volunteering initiatives. But what sets the truly impactful programs apart? 🤔 👉 The secret lies in building resilient champion networks—dynamic ecosystems of engaged volunteers who don’t just participate but inspire others to join the cause. Drawing from extensive research, this article offers practical insights to amplify your champion network’s resilience, ensuring your programs consistently deliver transformative experiences that leave a lasting impact. At the heart of resilient champion networks lie eight evolutionary design principles adapted from Nobel laureate Elinor Ostrom’s groundbreaking work. These principles aren’t mere theoretical constructs; they’re grounded in the evolutionary dynamics of cooperation, making them highly applicable to your champion network: 💗 Strong Group Identity and Purpose ⚖️ Fair Distribution of Costs and Benefits 🤝 Inclusive Decision-Making 🔎 Monitoring Behaviors 🗣️ Graduated Feedback and Interventions ✅ Fast and Fair Conflict Resolution 🙋♀️ Authority to Self-Govern 😊 Positive Relations with Other Groups By aligning your network with these principles, you’re not just ticking boxes; you’re building a resilient foundation for sustainable impact. So, how do you activate these principles in your network? Dive into this blog by Chris Jarvis to learn practical steps for activation per principle along with a quick tip on how to measure engagement in your network: https://bit.ly/3Zovplc #csr #socialimpact #employeevolunteering
