The internationally recognized authority in veterinary CPR

About us

The internationally recognized authority in veterinary CPR. Founded in 2010 by veterinary emergency and critical care specialists, The Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) Initiative developed and disseminated the first evidence-based veterinary CPR guidelines. The RECOVER Initiative has three core goals: Guidelines: Continuously develop and update evidence-based, consensus-driven veterinary CPR guidelines through a rigorous review of the CPR literature. Education: Offer the only standardized CPR certification for veterinary professionals and pet owners, endorsed by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Research: Drive and support scientific research to enhance CPR practices and improve outcomes in animals.
