We applaud the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for releasing its first-ever Recycling Needs Survey and Assessment. A grant from The Recycling Partnership's Polypropylene Recycling Coalition increased Scott County Recycling Center's collection in Iowa from 100,000 to over 600,000 pounds. The funding supported new sorting equipment, playing a key role in improving polypropylene collection, along with education to effectively communicate its benefits to communities.
