In the last several weeks, RedSense has successfully prevented/mitigated multiple initial access broker (IAB) accesses into victim networks, derailing ransomware operators. Proactive intelligence operations will always offer ‘left-of-boom’ detection and response opportunities. Maybe we should level up intelligence operations to respond via zero-integration telemetry and other adversary focused/contextualized alerting?

Recommend to take a beat to better understand how an ‘undocumented API’ in a globally proliferated (1B+ units) ESP32 chipset from Chinese chip manufacturers, Expressif, might just impact you. (It’s even in our flipper zeros). The Chinese nation state’s layered collection strategy against the U.S. is being laid out piecemeal in front of us. This research was conducted in collaboration with our partners at the National Cybersecurity Center.
