📰 Exciting new read! Our project coordinator, Alvaro Tejado, shares valuable insights in our latest article titled "Cellulose Functionalization: A little push to widen the potential of natural compounds". 🟢 Discover how cellulose fibers possess a unique combination of properties that make them ideal for various applications. However, their potential is often limited by intrinsic characteristics such as high water affinity and strong fiber-fiber bonding. In response to these challenges, Tejado highlights how the REDYSIGN Project is exploring innovative approaches to treat fibers in a “high-consistency regime". 👏 Promising results have been obtained, reducing water usage from 200-400 L/kg to as low as 10 L/kg of fiber, while enhancing reaction efficiency and decreasing chemical dosage.
