By testing equipment startup before work begins, LOTOTO verifies isolation integrity, further reducing the risk of accidental start-ups. Prioritize safety, eliminate hazards, and protect your team with a robust 9-step LOTOTO process. 1. Prepare: Review the work order and assess energy types and hazards. 2. Notify: Inform all affected personnel about the lockout process. 3. Turn Off/Shutdown: Methodically shut down the equipment according to procedure. 4. Isolate: Identify and isolate all energy sources using isolation devices. 5. Lockout and Tagout: Securely lockout and tag all energy isolation points. 6. Confirm No Stored Energy: Ensure all stored energy is released or restrained. 7. Tryout: Verify isolation by attempting to restart the equipment safely. 8.
