🎉Exciting news! Two of our talented students, Andrew Crawford (Tarleton State Mechanical Engineering Technology) and Victoria Vinzant (Kingsville Psychology), recently presented a paper at the ASEE Gulf-Southwest Conference in Arlington, TX. They collaborated with Drs. Riley, Hatala, and Nelson on the paper titled “Intersection of Design and Society: Student and Faculty Reflections on an Interdisciplinary Course,” which will be published in the conference proceedings. The paper highlights a course from the RELLIS campus that focused on understanding the impact of engineering on society and balancing design with societal wellness. At Lunch & Lies: The Truth Behind Mindhunter (Season 2), you’ll have the opportunity to learn from Tarleton State University criminal justice professor, Dr. Katherine M. Brown, as she discusses Netlix series Mindhunter season 2’s portrayal of a grisly murder investigation. Dr. Brown helped separate fact from fiction for the show’s writers and will be using her experience with murder investigations to give you an inside scoop on the true story behind the show. This month, Blinn College and the RELLIS Academic Alliance met for our yearly RELLIS Town Hall Meeting. Various topics were discussed, including the recent STAR award presented to the RELLIS Academic Alliance and Blinn College District. The award recognized RELLIS and Blinn for a partnership that streamlines the process of transferring and achieving a bachelor's degree at affordable prices on time.
