Meet Rachel Williams, a Business Marketing and Management major at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi-RELLIS Campus. This past summer, Rachel interned at Wisenbakers Builder Services Design Center. During her time here, she assisted designers in new home buyer design appointments where she helped client prep their folders before their appointments as well as help them process documents after, she also assisted designers in the designing of spec homes. This hands-on experience aligned perfectly with her career goals in the residential new home building and design industry. She also gained valuable skills such as using their VEO Design Studio software that allowed her to create and input design options for different floor plans within a given budget, analyze data and reports, and learn the importance of teamwork in this collaborative field. Networking was key; She landed this opportunity through the Texas A&M Mays Business Career Fair. From Intern to Employee! Meet Jordyn Scott, a marketing major at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi opportunity to gain marketing experience through an internship at a local company. She worked on exciting projects, such as designing flyers for an event featuring singer, Parker McCollum at Kyle Field! This internship was a huge step toward her career goals, offering her invaluable networking opportunities and hands-on experience in social media and marketing strategy. One of the most important lessons she learned was that all it takes is the courage to ask! Jordyn found her internship through her current job after a professor encouraged her to inquire about openings. Balancing work, classes, and her internship was quite challenging, but Jordyn managed to stay ahead by creating a daily plan that helped her stay organized. During her internship, she learned how to become comfortable with the uncomfortable, whether it was networking with clients or receiving constructive feedback on content. This experience boosted her confidence and skills. We also want to congratulate Jordyn on being offered a full-time position post-graduation! #InternshipSpotlight #Internship #TAMUCC #RELLIS #RELLISRISE
