After a national search that attracted many outstanding candidates, I’m happy to share that Lieutenant General James W. Bierman Jr. has agreed to serve as the 47th Commandant of the Corps of Cadets. He will join Texas A&M University on Aug. 1, upon his retirement from active duty from the U.S. Marine Corps. Lt. Gen. Bierman is an exemplary combat-proven leader and a decorated Marine Infantry Officer. His commitment to service and leadership aligns perfectly with the mission and Core Values of Texas A&M and the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. I’m confident he’s the right person to lead our “Keepers of the Spirit” as we head into the next 150 years of this great university. Please join me in welcoming Lt. Gen. Bierman to Aggieland! 🔗: https://tx.ag/UN5ruPr

These state-of-the-art spaces will not only enhance our athletic programs but also strengthen our university’s presence in the local and regional sports community. “We are seeing steady year-over-year growth in enrollment, and we are building our campus to keep up with that,” said A&M-San Antonio President Salvador Hector Ochoa. “These exciting new campus facilities enable us to better serve our growing student body while also providing the community with much-needed recreational resources.
