The Remagin team were delighted to be involved in the delivery of the new Ronald McDonald House at CHI Crumlin, Co. Dublin. Clancy, as main contractor, is leading the construction of this important project, which will offer much-needed accommodation for up to 52 families per night whose children are receiving treatment at the children's hospital.   Our team was on site for approximately 4 months, constructing the exterior walls and the load bearing interior walls. #MMC #MMCIreland MMC Ireland #offsiteconstruction #LGSF #ConstructionIreland Remagin, Ireland

We were delighted to receive a visit from Homes England recently. Shahi Islam, Director Affordable Housing, and Ruth Ryan, Assistant Director Affordable Housing Delivery, were shown around Remagin's Leeds manufacturing facility following a tour of McCarthy Stone's Sydney Grange development in Failsworth, Oldham.   Sydney Grange is McCarthy Stone's first in a programme of 100% affordable retirement communities, built using Remagin's Category 2 MMC light gauge steel frame (LGSF) panel solutions, and grant funded through Homes England's Older Persons Shared Ownership (OPSO) scheme.   Shahi Islam said, “McCarthy Stone's Failsworth development is an excellent example of high-quality and affordable housing for older people. We are pleased to support it through our older persons shared ownership scheme which forms a key part of Homes England’s efforts to provide suitable housing and build strong communities. Expanding the use of MMC is also a priority for the programme so it’s great to see the success of the partnership with Remagin. Last night, our team attended the pre-launch event of New Homes in New Ways at the Building Centre in London. As part of the exhibition, we have installed the ground floor of a typical 2-bedroom house, built from our light gauge steel solution, to showcase the quality achieved using modern methods of construction. The launch event itself attracted around 200 attendees representing a multitude of professions from offsite manufacturers, contractors, architects, local and central government as well as MPs and homelessness charities   The event co-curated by The Building Centre and Bristol based think tank Housing Festival placed the issue of poor quality housing and it’s impact on our society at the forefront of the exhibition. The impactful installation provided by Shelter and IKEA was a stark reminder as to why delivering quality housing at speed and scale is a critical challenge for our industry.   With insightful speeches from Homes England, Jeremy Sweetland and Francesca Albanese at Crisis, it highlighted how and why offsite solutions can play a major role in implementing positive change around the UK housing challenge.    The exhibition is now open to the public until early 2025. A great project to be involved in Darragh Ryan, working on a space restricted site. Some exciting innovations on this scheme, with external wall elements being assembled as far as the cladding support framework offsite in our factory in Cahir, leaving only the EQUITONE facade panels to be installed onsite.
