Each month, KidWind hosts guests who deep-dive into one element of renewable energy for the KidWind network. The event is free to attend, and everyone is welcome to join! This month's Spark Session will focus on Energy Justice and feature presentations from the following speakers: Alison Knasin, Ph.D., Lab Manager at Energy Justice Lab. The Energy Justice Lab is a research collaboration between Indiana University and the University of Pennsylvania. The Lab’s mission is to explore, measure, and improve the equity and justice dimensions of society’s ongoing energy transition. Rozina Kanchwala, Executive Director at Ecologic.io & Director of EDICT (Empowering Diverse Climate Talent) Partnership at Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI). Eco.Logic leverages art and education to build connections and spark environmental action. George is currently working at Apex Clean Energy as the Director of Solar Design, where they are responsible for project management leadership and serves as a technical board member for major equipment, energy modeling, and design strategy. George also works on design and optimization analytics for wind, solar, and storage projects. Prior to this, George worked as a Senior Solar Energy Analyst at Apex Clean Energy, where they were the senior project design lead and energy modeling expert for utility-scale and distributed energy solar projects. Throughout their career, George has demonstrated expertise in project management, energy modeling, design strategy, and technical due diligence. George is a PMP and EIT certified, as well as a NABCEP Associate.
