    Hours after Amazon CEO Andy Jassy announced that employees will be required to return to the office five days a week starting in January, disgruntled employees began to discuss quitting on social media, with some speculating that the new policy is intended to push workers to leave. ResumeTemplates surveyed 1,551 U.S. business leaders in September about their company’s return-to-office (RTO) strategy for 2024 and 2025 to uncover the motivations behind increasing in-office days. Study highlights: ~ 26% of companies have increased RTO days in 2024, 12% plan to by the end of the year, and 9% will increase them by 2025 ~ Of these companies, 1 in 3 will require employees to be in-~ office 5 days per week ~ 1 in 10 companies are increasing RTO days to drive employees to quit, with half citing it as a strategy to avoid layoffs ~ 6 in 10 companies know increasing in-office days goes against employee preferences https://lnkd.in/e9QZK89N

    Previous surveys have found that Gen Zers tend to overestimate how much they should be earning. ResumeTemplates.com conducted a survey in September to understand the salary expectations of Gen Zers (ages 18 to 27) who are working full-time and do not have children.     People tend to have many strong opinions on Gen Z, whether positive or negative. We wanted to find out how today’s business leaders view Gen Z’s place in the workforce, especially the younger members of this generation who may just be starting their careers. In July, ResumeTemplates.com surveyed 1,000 hiring managers about their experiences working with young Gen Zers, defined in the survey as those 18 to 23.     Gen Z workers are often perceived as tech-savvy, innovative, and adaptable, bringing fresh perspectives and a strong understanding of digital tools to the workplace. However, they can also be seen as less disciplined, frequently engaging in non-work-related activities during work hours. The group is known for prioritizing work-life balance in ways that sometimes clash with traditional expectations. ResumeTemplates.com recently surveyed 1,200 workers across generations to understand how Gen Z stacks up.     Since its launch in November 2022, workers have increasingly used ChatGPT. Its ability to aid in productivity, problem-solving, and communication has made it a valuable tool in various professional settings. Last month, Resume Templates surveyed 1,666 U.S. employees who spend most or all of their workday on a computer to understand how prevalent ChatGPT use is among workers. We found 34% of employees use ChatGPT weekly. Study highlights: - 34% of workers use ChatGPT weekly in their jobs - 1 in 5 ChatGPT users save over 10 hours per week - 32% of workers using ChatGPT started a side hustle with time savings - 4 in 10 workers who use the tool say ChatGPT helped them secure a raise, and 30% report it aided a promotion - 65% of workers who use the tool say they aren’t worried ChatGPT will take their job More here: https://lnkd.in/ez-SvJGU
