Providing nourishing meals to those in a health crisis.
About us
At the Revive and Thrive Project, we believe in the healing power of food as an essential element in the recovery process for individuals facing health crises. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing and providing wholesome, nutritious meals for people confronting serious illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. Our menus are thoughtfully crafted to be rich in nutrients, with a strong emphasis on whole, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. Many of our clients are living in isolation with limited support, and our meals not only nourish and strengthen their bodies but also provide solace, letting them know that the community cares about their well-being. Our mission is driven by a dedicated team of over 40 volunteers who deeply understand the significance of our work. Furthermore, we are committed to mentoring young chefs, imparting valuable lessons not only about the importance of healthy and nutritious food but also about essential life skills that will empower them to thrive in the future.

Thank you to the incredible team at The Center for Physical Rehabilitation for their generous $500 donation raised through their Jean Day initiative! We're excited they'll also be sharing about Revive & Thrive Project at their clinics next quarter – making an impact through giving and education. Every time you spread the word about our meal services, you create a ripple effect. What seems like a simple conversation could connect someone facing a health crisis with medically supportive meals they didn't know were available. #communitypartners #nourishingthecommunity #foodasmedicine #medicallysupportivemeals

How did we transform the generous produce donation from New Growth Project into a farm-to-table feast for our clients? Here’s how: 💛 Colorful Veggies & Dip – featuring sweet, crunchy mini bell peppers. 🧡 Lemon Herb Chicken with Roasted Potatoes & Veggies – enhanced with the seasonal flavors of summer squash and eggplant. ❤️ Hearty Stone Soup – elevated by vibrant Italian roasting peppers. 💚 Heirloom Tomato & Butter Bean Salad – bursting with juicy heirloom tomatoes and crisp radishes. Nothing "beets" the flavor of locally grown produce! A big thanks to New Growth Project for helping us serve nourishing farm-fresh meals for those facing health crises. #EatLocal #FarmFresh #CommunityPartners #NewGrowthProject #NourishingTheCommunity #FoodAsMedicine

September was a month to remember! Our annual fundraiser, Celebrate the Harvest, prompted a temporary pause in our regular meal service for the last week of September, but we still managed to prepare 1,613 medically supportive meals, served 123 people, and completed 109 home deliveries. Our nourishing meals and the success of Celebrate the Harvest are not possible without support from our dedicated volunteers, our community partnerships, and generous donors. Thank you for an unforgettable month! To view the full monthly impact report, please visit https://lnkd.in/gZe_Ri_5.
