Providing nourishing meals to those in a health crisis.
About us
At the Revive and Thrive Project, we believe in the healing power of food as an essential element in the recovery process for individuals facing health crises. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing and providing wholesome, nutritious meals for people confronting serious illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. Our menus are thoughtfully crafted to be rich in nutrients, with a strong emphasis on whole, organic, and locally sourced ingredients. Many of our clients are living in isolation with limited support, and our meals not only nourish and strengthen their bodies but also provide solace, letting them know that the community cares about their well-being. Our mission is driven by a dedicated team of over 40 volunteers who deeply understand the significance of our work. Furthermore, we are committed to mentoring young chefs, imparting valuable lessons not only about the importance of healthy and nutritious food but also about essential life skills that will empower them to thrive in the future.

We're always looking for ways to improve our support for those facing health crises. By staying on top of healthcare trends, we're ensuring our meals don't just feed –they nourish! Our Executive Director Amy attended Health Insurance 4.0 by Total Control Health Plans where she gained valuable insights into innovative approaches to healthcare and insurance. This event was about embracing data, innovation, and transparency and featured presentations from innovators driving the change including Nomi Health, Renovere Health, QBE North America, Stealth Partner Group, an Amwins Company, and BAMF Health. Understanding these cutting-edge healthcare and insurance solutions enhances our ability to support recovery through the Food as Medicine philosophy and provides a comprehensive approach to the communities we serve. #foodasmedicine #totalcontrolhealthplans #reinventinghealthinsurance #healthcareinnovation #nourishthecommunity

Some of the Revive & Thrive staff took a field trip to the Community Food Club GR! We were impressed by the Community Food Club's commitment to providing diverse, nutritious options and their thoughtful approach to healthy eating for club members. One of Revive & Thrive Project’s goals is to provide community health and wellness resources to our clients during their transition of services. We want them to feel supported and empowered to continue to nourish their bodies after our meal service ends. Community Food Club is one of the local resources we connect our clients with for affordable healthy groceries. Community Food Club uses a points-based model to price their items. Here’s the interesting part: fruits and vegetables are the lowest-priced items in the store while processed foods and snacks are among the highest-priced items! Their unique approach to grocery shopping helps increase food security in general; providing their members access to fresh produce and other healthy foods. 📷: Community Food Club’s Operations Director Katie Sienkowski; Revive & Thrive’s Executive Director Amy, Program Assistant Morgan, and Program Coordinator Carlita; Community Food Club’s Development Director Jon Roberts.
