    I talked to a prominent VC yesterday who asked about Salesforce > HubSpot. To which I said "have you heard the latest hit from Rob Jones?" We discussed the root causes of the Orange Wave and why he and I are seeing this market shift. Buzz words like "total cost of ownership" "tech consolidation" and "user friendly" can often feel like white noise until you hear it from the market. It's the universal theme when I looked at our "CRM graveyard" slack channel for the last 5 SFDC rips our team has done. Yes, you heard it right. We have a CRM graveyard channel.     "How you do one thing is how you do everything." So RevPartners used HubSpot to fairly determine draft order for our league. Is this a demo of our service? Nope. Have we done this for partners? Not to my knowledge 😅 (we could) So why show this video // how does this help demand gen? I like metaphors. 🤷♂️ Lots of people looking for a HS revops partner aren't sure what "revops" looks like or feels like. Lots of different definitions out there. This is something David Melton whipped up in 20mins. . . as a hobby. Imagine ACTUALLY working with us. 🚀 #RealLifeRevops

    Had the opportunity to do a #Negotiation training with our RevPartners Sales team last week, and this is one of the frameworks I shared. 😎5 P's Framework 🌟Prepare: Do your research, and play out all the angles. You won't get the deal you want if you don't prepare. 🌟Probe: Don't negotiate based on assumptions. Ask clarifying questions before you make recommendations. 🌟Possibilities: Expand the range of outcomes. More outcomes = higher liklihood you will reach an agreement. 🌟Propose: After discussing options, propose your recommendation. Be a Clarity Creator (part of the RP Way) and suggest what you think is a win-win. 🌟Partner: Implement the agreement. Execute all your post-conversation actions, or else you don't actually have a deal! What would you add?
