Last week R&H celebrated Women in Construction Week in our offices and on jobsites across Portland Metro and Central Oregon. This year’s NAWIC WIC Week theme was "Together We Rise." To R&H, that means that progress happens when we work together. By supporting and empowering women in the trades, we can help create more opportunities and drive meaningful change. 👷🏽♀️♀️🙌 We kicked off the week with a special toolbox talk at our jobsites, highlighting the challenges women face working in the construction industry, including feeling isolated at work, facing harassment in the workplace and inadequate safety equipment. Our Portland office ended the week by hosting happy hour in our café, bringing together all people from our industry to connect and celebrate. The Washington County Center for Addictions Triage and Treatment (CATT) projects have had many recent visitors. R&H’s teams shared site progress with four Washington County Commissioners and a group from our design partners at Holst Architecture. R&H’s project engineers also stopped by the site for a ‘PE Walk,’ where our developing leaders shared insights with their peers about their respective projects. We love getting to share about these exciting projects shaping our community!

The multi-phased renovation of Antica Terra's Barrel Hall reveals a beautiful space made possible by thoughtful design and detailed craftsmanship. Designed by West of West, the Barrel Hall is home to a tasting space, a commercial kitchen, barrel storage and several high-end upgrades. For the past two years, the community has watched as this project has taken shape, redefining the landscape of this corner off of NE Sandy Boulevard. The eight-story, mixed-use building, paired with the stunning renovation of the original Pepsi Pavilion, brings new energy to the area. Bend's beloved Ariana Restaurant has been refreshed! R&H performed a remodel and expansion of this fine dining restaurant, which has served the community for over 20 years. The project included a ground-up addition which features an expanded dining area and increased back-of-house space. Additionally, noise control, accent lighting and a private outdoor patio were added to enhance the guest experience. The Old Mill Apartments have officially reached full occupancy since opening in October! R&H was involved in the conversion of this former motel into 76 modern, comfortable affordable housing units with updated kitchenettes, supportive services offered to each tenant, and shared amenities to help residents transition into permanent housing. This incredible project came to life thanks to partnerships with Fortify Holdings, Studio+ Architects, the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council (COIC), the MAC Group, and the City of Bend.
