The Pearl in San Antonio, TX: Once an industrial powerhouse, the Pearl Brewery (est. 1883) has been transformed into a vibrant, mixed-use development on the banks of the San Antonio River. At Rialto Studio, we played a key role in the Pearl's revival. Starting in 2003, we collaborated with architects to develop the master plan for the site, blending historic industrial elements with contemporary green spaces. This 22-acre mixed-use redevelopment has notably reinvigorated a blighted part of the city by celebrating the historic industrial spaces and now features the Culinary Institute of America, restaurants, retail, apartments, and offices. Our design celebrates the Pearl’s rich history. We incorporated salvaged materials and narrow streets to enhance accessibility. Key features include an amphitheater by the river, pocket parks, and the iconic Hotel Emma. The Pearl has become a destination for living, entertainment, and innovation, setting a new standard for urban development in San Antonio and surrounding areas. #RialtoStudio #LandscapeArchitecture #UrbanRedevelopment #HistoricPreservation #SanAntonio #ThePearl #PearlBrewery

Come explore the Witte Museum's beautiful and sustainable landscape, designed by Rialto Studio. With Central Texas summers bringing heat and drought, we've embraced xeriscaping to create a vibrant, resilient environment using drought-resistant native plants. The Adventure Walk trail welcomes you with regional plantings, while the interpretive fountain showcases historic water conveyance systems. Our design not only saves water but also tells a story about conservation and native flora. #Xeriscaping #SustainableLandscaping #WaterConservation #RialtoStudio #WitteMuseum #EcoFriendly #NativePlants #TexasLandscaping
