    In a recent interview with WPXI, Riverlife President and CEO, Matt Galluzzo, shared insights into the rich history and revitalization of Point State Park’s iconic fountain. As the crown jewel of Pittsburgh’s riverfront system, the fountain stands as a testament to our city’s transformation and a beloved backdrop for countless memories. “The beauty of this park and the fountain is that generations from now people are going to be able to experience this park and love it the way we do,” Galluzzo said.

    Exciting News at Riverlife! We are thrilled to announce that Christine Mondor has joined us as the new Chair of our Board of Directors! With her extensive experience and passion for design, sustainability, and community engagement, and deep commitment to the future of Pittsburgh, Christine brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to Riverlife. Throughout her career, Christine has demonstrated a remarkable ability to turn visionary ideas into reality, from nationally recognized ecodistricts to innovative green infrastructure plans. Her collaborative approach and thought-provoking engagement methods have inspired action and transformed communities around the world. In addition to her work as an architect and educator at Carnegie Mellon University, Christine is deeply committed to serving her community. She is currently involved in various organizations dedicated to promoting design and the environment. During Riverlife's first Board of Directors meeting for 2024, Christine emphasized the importance of connections both between individuals and to Riverlife's mission and she is excited about having yet one more reason to spend time on the river! We are honored to have Christine's leadership as we continue our mission to create, activate, and celebrate Pittsburgh’s rivers and riverfronts.
