Only $900 stands between Dr. Patrick McEnaney and his goal of raising $100,000 for Riverside’s suicide prevention efforts. Driven by the loss of his brothers to suicide, he’s run four ultramarathons totaling a remarkable 400 miles in their honor. Now, he needs your help supporting this life-saving mission. Donate today to be part of a transformative moment as Patrick turns miles into milestones and crosses the finish line for his brothers and everyone else we’ve lost to suicide. https://buff.ly/4gTekWJ

There are tools out there that can help take the fear away and empower everyone to support and look out for one another.” One trusted evidence-based tool that has shown a 64% reduction in self-reported suicide attempts is SOS Signs of Suicide. This youth suicide prevention program is free for Massachusetts schools through the Department of Mental Health and combines educational videos, discussion guides, depression screenings, resources for parents and caregivers, and more to empower students to seek help for themselves or a friend. On World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10th), clinicians from Riverside Outpatient Center at Cambridge – located right on the Lesley University campus – along with team members of the Lesley University Counseling Center, shared valuable information about the therapeutic resources available through the center. Students learned how to access therapy, join suicide prevention groups, and support themselves or a friend during a mental health crisis. The event was highlighted by Riverside’s custom “Wheel of Fortune” game. Students spun a wheel, answered questions on mental health and self-care, and won exciting prizes. Members of the Lesley community were highly engaged throughout this educational day! #SuicidePrevention #MentalHealthMatters #CollegiateMentalHealth
