💡We’re beyond grateful for our line crew’s safe return after two weeks of helping with restoration efforts in Western NC. Their hard work and dedication truly embodied 'The Roanoke Way,' and the appreciation they received from residents and local businesses speaks volumes. While our team supported power restoration in Boone, our other crews continued making progress at home—like installing transformers for Tesla chargers in Roanoke Rapids. 🎉 It’s Co-op Month, and we’re celebrating in style with Customer Service Week at Roanoke Cooperative! Similar to spirit week, we’re dressing up with fun themes each day to show our team spirit. We kicked off Monday with Team Roanoke & Fybe Day, where team members were rocking their Roanoke gear or flaunting their Fybe swag. Even though we have crews deployed to Blue Ridge Energy for Hurricane Helene restoration efforts, their dedication shone through as they participated in Team Roanoke Day. 💖 Tuesday was all about Breast Cancer Awareness Month, encouraging everyone to "Think Pink." Wednesday brought out the sports fans with favorite team gear, and Thursday, we’re gearing up in western wear. Friday’s going to be a blast as we throw it back for Decades Day—fans of the 70s, 80s, and 90s can dust off their favorite retro looks and bring back some serious nostalgia. In these challenging times, we’re grateful for our resilient team and the supportive community we serve. Stay tuned for an update next week to see how much fun we had together! #CoopMonth #CustomerServiceWeek #TeamRoanoke #Fybe #ThinkPink #DecadesDay

⚡ Our Line Technicians in Action! ⚡ Roanoke Cooperative’s dedicated line technicians are hard at work in the Blue Ridge Energy service area, battling tough terrain and long hours to restore power. Despite 16-hour days and challenges like muddy conditions requiring bulldozers to assist, their spirits remain high, thanks to the overwhelming support from our member-owners, families, Blue Ridge Energy and their members. Jamie Elliott, Line Technician Supervisor, shared, “Blue Ridge has been really good to us! It makes you want to work even harder to get the lights back on for their members.” John Turner, Fleet Operations Coordinator, added, “Even after losing so much, their members have been incredibly appreciative of our efforts.” We couldn’t be prouder of our team! Check out the full story and see the photos of our crew in action in our latest blog post. https://ow.ly/ynCH50TCBXa #RoanokeCooperative #LineTechnicians #RestoringPower #BlueRidgeEnergy #Teamwork #Proud

💚 More Than Just a Power Company – We’re Family 💚 We stood in the rain, watching as the trucks rolled out of the gate. As they pulled away into the distance and the gate slowly closed behind them, a wave of prayers followed--prayers for their safety, for their families waiting anxiously at home, and for their safe return. We prayed that their mission would be successful and that they'd come back to us quickly. At Roanoke Cooperative, being part of a co-op means we look out for one another, just like family. Today, eight of our dedicated line crew team members are heading out to lend a helping hand to Blue Ridge Energy, where over 60,000 members are without power. But this isn’t just about restoring electricity. It’s about showing compassion, standing together in difficult times, and embodying the cooperative spirit that’s woven into everything we do. When one of us needs help, we all step up—because that’s what family does. To our crew, we are so incredibly proud of you. As you carry the heart of Roanoke Cooperative with you, we wish you safe travels, knowing you will bring comfort and light to those in need. And to all the linemen and workers out there, thank you for your tireless efforts. Jamie E., Brice, Benton, Gary, Griffin, Josh, Chad and John (not pictured), you remind us every day of the true power of the Cooperative. #CooperativeSpirit #FamilyFirst #MutualAid #PoweringCommunities #TogetherWeShine
