About us

Our mission is to empower people through technology to help create safer organizations. When it comes to safety, nothing is more important than being able to reach for help when you need it. That is why we designed our proprietary panic button solution for organizations that need to protect employees and others who may be at risk. It consists of proprietary technology that provides continuous coverage throughout a facility, even in dead zones to provide a lifeline when it is needed most. It operates independently of the facilities network, so it is always on. ROAR’s solution is the choice of major hotel chains and healthcare providers due to its ease of use, redundant backups, and maintainability.

Is your behavioral health facility still relying on outdated security tech? It’s time for an upgrade. Grainy camera images, hard-to-find duress buttons, vulnerable access cards, and outdated video recorders. If you still have these technologies in your behavioral health facility, it’s time to move on. These relics of security technology served us well, but their modern replacements are far superior and offer significant improvements to the safety and security of both your patients and staff. Not to mention, older devices can unnecessarily expose your facility to avoidable risks, including heightened liability in high-stress environments. Which of these outdated technologies are you still using? In our latest blog, we explore why it’s essential to move beyond: 📹 Analog Cameras – Poor image quality significantly hinders the ability to monitor patient/staff interactions effectively. 🔴 Duress Buttons – Fixed locations don’t offer the flexibility that today’s healthcare environments demand. 💳 Mag Stripe Access Cards – Easy to duplicate, unreliable, and outdated. It’s time for contactless. 📼 Digital Video Recorders – Often used with analog cameras, perpetuating the cycle of inferior technology and posing potential risk to network security. Discover why upgrading your tech isn’t just a good idea—it’s essential. Read our blog post to learn how you can make the case for new investments: https://lnkd.in/ecuA6MAV If you’re ready to replace your old duress buttons with ROAR’s dual-patented wearable solutions, contact us today for more information. #HealthcareSecurity #SafetyFirst #BehavioralHealth #ROAR

The Top 5 Questions Most Companies Ask When Searching for a Panic Button Solution - with Charly Livock, SVP of Sales & Marketing at ROAR Q: How much does a panic button cost?  A: This is the number one question we get asked at ROAR - which is why we’ve just written a blog post about it - https://lnkd.in/eQd5xtwa   Q: Can the alerts go to multiple people?  A: Yes, we have alert consoles placed in appropriate locations (security, front desk, nurses’ stations etc.) and an app for mobile staff who need to respond or be made aware of an alert. We offer unlimited users on the app, and it will work whether you are on or off-site.   Q: How does ROAR’s solution work effectively on campuses and between buildings? Given that we are a multisite location, can buttons work between facilities?  A: ROAR utilizes alternative communication methods that do not rely on Wi-Fi, LTE, or power. Through a dual patented BLE mesh network, our equipment can talk to one another making it suitable for environments where traditional connectivity options are unreliable or unavailable. The panic buttons are programmed to be able to roam between different facilities meaning you can take your button to another location with ROAR implemented, and it will work seamlessly.   Q: We must bypass our WIFI Network. How do you do this while maintaining uptime?  A: Our Gateways utilize LTE, and our e-SIM card allows multiple carriers. It will automatically determine the carrier with the strongest signal and use that as the primary connection. Should it drop signal, there is a fallback providing an additional layer of redundancy. We guarantee a 99.9% uptime!    Q: How does your 911 button work?  A: Once the button is activated, the exact location, address, phone number and entry instructions. A monitoring agent calls your site to confirm or cancel the alert and determine which services are needed (police, ambulance, fire). The alert data is then shared with 911 and dispatch to site confirmed. What haven’t we answered for you? Connect with Charly Livock to learn more. #WorkplaceSafety #HealthcareSafety #SafetySolutions #Innovation #ROAR

Understanding SB 553: California's New Workplace Violence Prevention Law As of July 1, 2024, California has set a precedent by becoming the first state to mandate a comprehensive Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP) across all industries. What Does This Mean for Your Business? At ROAR, our mission is to protect people. We are dedicated to the physical and psychological well-being of every vulnerable worker. If you work in a healthcare setting and are worried about your safety, you likely have a few options to get help quickly. However, not all options are created equal.      We created a list of options to get help quickly, ranked from least to most effective: #5 Your Own Voice  Yelling for help is an option that’s always with you. But it relies on someone hearing you, knowing what to do next, and then calling security and other staff to help. #4 Phone Call  With a phone call, you or a co-worker need to find a phone, call security, explain what’s happening, and wait for them to be dispatched and respond. #3 Two-Way Radio  Some hospitals use radios as a direct way to reach security. There’s usually only one in your area. You need to find the radio, tell security what’s happening, and wait for a response. #2 Wired Panic Button  Wired panic buttons don’t require you to talk with security. But you still need to find the button to activate it. It’s unlikely to be close by when you need it, and it can’t tell security if you move to a new location. #1 ROAR Wearable Panic Button  A ROAR wearable panic button is always with you. You can press it anytime you feel unsafe, and it will quickly alert security to respond to your exact location. If you move, it will update your location. Plus, it’s highly reliable, so you can depend on it working every time. Reach out to ROAR today to learn more about how we can help empower your healthcare team to stay safe.  https://lnkd.in/eiAfYt4X
