What a beautiful day it was at the 5th annual Robert Irvine Foundation Military Heroes Golf Tournament. The Robert Irvine Foundation invited 50+ injured veterans to join us for activities centered around a relaxing day out on the golf course at the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio, TX. Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast and a post-golf upscale BBQ prepared by Robert Irvine Corporate Chef Shane Cash. Our featured speaker for the event was one of our newest RIF Board Members, veteran and former Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) Ramón Colón-López, who many of you know as CZ Colon-Lopez. Ramón “CZ” Colón-López It was an extra special occasion for US Navy veteran Mike Shannon and his family who learned at the event that Mike will soon be receiving an iBot mobility device! USAF Veteran Lindsey Mulford also shared a special experience with us on stage, after a month of training with her service dog ACE, she put on his 'red vest' which indicates he has passed his training and is ready to be her full-time service dog. We are grateful to our partners PAWS for People who have spent years training ACE and getting him ready for this moment. Robert Irvine, CZ Colon-Lopez, our Ambassadors, and all the members of the Robert Irvine Foundation who were on site would like to thank our event sponsors and year-round supporters of the Robert Irvine Foundation for making memorable and impactful days like this possible. Event sponsors include: Monster Energy #MonsterEnergyCares, Gary Sinise Foundation, Walkers Cay Bahamas, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Support the Robert Irvine Foundation today: https://lnkd.in/gEgy2HCd

Robert Irvine had the opportunity to attend the DoD Warrior Games as a special guest of Gen. Fenton, the 13th Commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). United States Department of Defense An amazing time for our veterans and active-duty, the Warrior Games is an annual event celebrating the resiliency and dedication of wounded, ill, and injured active-duty and veteran U.S. military service members. The DoD Warrior Games serves to enhance the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded warriors by providing them exposure to adaptive sports and demonstrating the incredible potential of wounded warriors through competitive sports. We had a blast watching these athletes compete and train in a variety of sports including archery, cycling, sitting-volleyball, swimming, track, field, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, shooting, indoor rowing, and powerlifting. We are grateful to attend such an extraordinary event!

With the generous support and partnership of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) we were able to bring together over 500 veterans, military families, and Gold Star families in Mobile, AL for a Reuniting the Brave weekend for USCG Rescue Swimmers. The motto "So Others May Live" truly describes the mentality of this brave and resilient group of elite heroes. The weekend kicked off with a tour of the Aviation Training Center Base in Mobile followed by a social event for families at a local family entertainment center with batting cages, trampolines, and more. The following day, attendees participated in the Decertathon Games at Gulf Shores Crossfit and then headed over to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo for another fun event for all. We were honored to be joined by members of the original class of Rescue Swimmers and their families who took the time to reconnect with friends of their loved ones. Thank you again to the DAV team that was there on-site with us all weekend. #ReunitingTheBrave

Giving back to those who have sacrificed for all of us is tantamount to the mission here at the Robert Irvine Foundation. We hope that seeing the positive difference that an advanced mobility device like an iBOT can make for an individual like Jason and his family will give hope and strength to any wounded heroes coping with injuries and recovery.
