What an extraordinary day of safety inspiration! I was invited to attend the Rogers-O'Brien Construction SIF Academy for 2025. (Ross Daly, CSP Seth Campbell and their team lead the group of 20 Construction Professionals) R-O takes an hands on approach to this innovative training, covering more than just compliance, but going through the process of inspection, and building. Adding in lessons learned on the jobs with incident reports and after action reviews. Today we covered LOTO and Stored Energy, Scaffolds, Aerial Platforms, and Confined Space Entry. Great team R-O has here in Texas, with members coming in from Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Waco. I was honored to sit in, ask questions, tell my stories that pertained to the topics, and mostly to meet the heart that provides the life that is in R-O! Talk about Buy-In from the Top! I am so proud of this… It was way better than an OSHA training session. This wasn’t information, it was inspiration.

"Does your job make you happy?" That was just one of the many thoughtful questions we received from the bright young minds at the Camino Real Elementary Career Fair in Bastrop ISD. Leon Rebollar, Superintendent, Halle Smidovec, Assistant Estimator, and @Terri Michalak had the privilege of engaging with curious students, sharing their passion for construction, and answering some big (and sometimes tough!) questions. From project costs to job site logistics, these students kept us thinking! Another big win! Cosm Dallas has been awarded first place in the 2025 TEXO The Construction Association Distinguished Building Awards in the Specialty Exterior category. It was an honor to partner with HKS, Inc. and Rogers-O'Brien Construction on this 65,000-square-foot state-of-the-art venue that redefines entertainment and bridges the gap between virtual and physical realities. Just what the doctor ordered! 🩺 The 28,000 SF renovation and expansion at Harris Health Casa de Amigos is complete! With upgraded patient exam rooms, a new pharmacy, and dedicated pediatric and women’s services, this project enhances healthcare access for the Houston community. We are proud to complete our first project for Harris Health alongside trusted architect PhiloWilke Partnership. Creating spaces that help Texans get the care they need, that’s how we build a better Texas!

While SXSW is famous for concerts and comedy, it’s also a powerhouse of ideas, technology, and industry-shaping discussions. Bruno and Hagen will be exploring the latest in construction tech, digital transformation, and R&D—bringing back insights that will help us build smarter and more efficiently. With the trust of repeat client Billingsley Company and a longstanding relationship with O'Brien Architects, our team delivered the AMN Healthcare TI project on time — despite supply chain challenges from COVID. This 92,420 square-foot finish-out across multiple levels was driven by a collaborative effort, and now it’s earning recognition with the Associated Builders and Contractors National Excellence in Construction Pyramid Award. Project Manager Rustin Page and Superintendent Juan Garza (pictured) were praised for their attitude of mutual success and partnership, ensuring this project was a win for everyone involved. Congratulations to our project team for turning challenges into achievements!

The doors are open at Oakhouse Dallas, delivering Class A affordable and market-rate housing just south of downtown. This six-story, 219-unit development features a cast-in-place parking garage, dedicated workspaces for students and remote professionals, and a Sky Lounge with stunning downtown views. This marks our first project with Mintwood Real Estate, and we’re proud to have brought their vision to life!

Dirt is flying at the Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (Houston) Medical Office Building groundbreaking! This 17,452 SF facility marks our first project with Remedy Medical Properties. This state-of-the-art space will bring top-tier sports medicine and orthopedic care to the community, helping athletes and patients get back in the game by fall 2025.
