Forrester found that 88% of B2B buyers said they prefer self-service or digital experiences throughout their buying process. 👉🏼 Sales has typically been the primary driver of acquiring new customers. Today, buyers find what they need online and only want a salesperson when they are ready to buy. Focus on high-quality leads. A stat from Adobe showed that 70% of leads generated from sources like gated content are unqualified. 👉🏼 You need to focus on generating high-quality leads that will convert into customers. Gating content is not a strategy -- it's a means to acquiring an opted-in database. Account-based GTM can be a powerful tool. In a stat from RollWorks, a division of NextRoll, it's been showed that account-based can drive 50% better customer engagement. 👉🏼 Account-based forces you to focus on high-value target accounts only. Optimize your inbound channels for conversion and provide a smooth experience for leads to make purchasing decisions on their own terms. 𝟯 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗼 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄. Audit the lead funnel: evaluate every single step, channel, and tactic from content, to the website, to your forms. Map the buyer journey and make sure the entire GTM understands how your customers buy. Focus on high-intent leads: after mapping the journey, shift your focus to the leads that are actively "in market" or have the highest propensity (sometimes is based on where you have the most accurate data). Optimize low-funnel channels for conversion: analyze where and how you in-market buyers convert and optimize those steps for smoother conversion.
