🌆 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡! 🌿 We are excited to share the transformation of a residential area at Harthof, where Dressler Mayerhofer Rössler Architekten and urban planners have developed a stunning complex featuring 42 terraced houses. These three-story homes are thoughtfully clustered to enhance urban living, creating a vibrant community atmosphere. 🏡✨ Each cluster includes three terraced houses, a utility building, and a communal courtyard, all designed to foster connectivity among residents. With a total of 42 parking spaces in an underground garage, convenience meets modern living. 🅿️🏢 Diverse housing types offer a range of living options, complete with gardens, loggias, and additional rooms. Each home features its own entrance courtyard and private outdoor spaces, promoting a sense of individuality and community. 🌸🏡 Constructed using a wood-concrete hybrid method, the buildings boast energy-efficient features, achieving the “KFW Efficiency House 70” standard. The effective building envelope significantly reduces heat loss, minimizing CO2 emissions and lowering utility costs. 🌍💡 Our team was responsible for the workshop and assembly planning of the building envelope, overseeing its production, delivery, and installation. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞 🏠✨ We always talk about the high degree of prefabrication of our timber construction elements. What does this actually mean? We deliver an entire exterior wall element, including built-in ventilation 🌬️ and windows 🪟, to the construction and fix it to the shell. Piece by piece, the outer shell grows 🌳 – and the interior work can follow seamlessly. A total of 640 new apartments 🏢 are currently being built for Münchner Wohnen here in Munich-Feldmoching. We only need two weeks ⏳ to tightly fit the shell of a four-storey apartment block. Not only the speed of construction 🚀, but also the good climate balance 🌍 speak in favor of wood as a raw material. This is why the city of Munich is deliberately promoting timber housing construction 🛠️. And other cities are also implementing exciting projects relating to the urban building of the future 🏙️ (link: https://lnkd.in/dFXyEDbM). By the way, another interesting detail: in projects like the one in Munich, our engineers 👷♂️ also take into account when cantilevered components require support and tension protection. These are also pre-assembled and remain on the building elements until they are no longer needed. End of construction: 2025 📅 Location: Munich-Feldmoching 📍 Client: Münchner Wohnen 🏘️ Architecture: Dressler Mayerhofer Rössler Architekten, Auenstraße 28, 80469 München 🏛️ #rubner #betterwithwood #architecture #dresslermayerhoferroessler #sustainability #MünchnerWohnen #Municipalhousingassociation #subsidizedhousing #timelapse

Many cities and municipalities are therefore trying to extend the life cycle of buildings that have already been constructed.🏙️🌍 This enables them to conserve resources, reduce waste that is difficult or impossible to recycle, and reduce the environmental impact of new buildings through material production and transportation 🚚🚮. Last but not least, they create more residential or commercial space on already developed land.🏡📈 The challenge in converting old buildings is their high operating costs due to poor insulation.❌💸 In order to improve energy efficiency in the long term, re-cladding usually makes sense. A good example of this is the redevelopment project of the Archamps shopping center, where an old multi-story concrete office building is being transformed into a modern co-living residence by ECLA for students and young professionals, featuring a timber-framed facade. 🌳👩🎓👨🎓 Thanks to the high degree of prefabrication of our timber elements, we were able to complete the installation of the new walls last July. ✅🔨 Once completed in 2025, the converted building will house almost 800 beds and more than 3,000 m² of communal areas and services.🛏️🏢 📌End of construction: 2025 📌Location: Archamps 📌Client: OCEANIS PROMOTION 📌Architecture: Patriarche.
