It’s not just about maintaining existing structures but also about creating new spaces for our children to thrive. Our unique approach to executing large-scale timber engineering projects was at the forefront of this event. 🌍💚 During our tour, we highlighted 5 remarkable projects, each explained by their architects on-site, providing an up-close experience of cutting-edge construction: 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐟 49: 42 energy-efficient terraced houses create a vibrant community on the site of a former public housing estate, featuring serialized external wall elements that significantly reduce running costs and CO2 emissions. 🏡💡 𝐖𝐀𝐇 𝐇𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫: This project includes 162 new flats in timber and hybrid construction, marking a strong commitment to fast, subsidized housing. Eight residential buildings form a modern cluster, catering to shared living, caregiving communities, and large families with a notable use of renewable materials. 🏘️🌱 𝐋𝐊𝐌 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫: Featuring 730 safe sleeping places, this facility provides counselling, medical care, and a day centre for those in need, all while showcasing high aesthetic standards with an attractive wooden façade. 🛌🏽❤️ 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚ß𝐞: A contemporary learning environment for 900 students, this school demonstrates the potential of timber construction in educational settings, with robust furniture and oak post-and-beam façades creating dynamic learning spaces. 📚🏫 𝐓𝐔𝐌 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤: One of Europe's largest timber construction projects, this campus features a stunning 153-meter timber roof that cantilevers over the tartan track—a true marvel of timber engineering. 🏟️🌟 Each project reflects our dedication to intelligent and resource-efficient use of wood. On such tight sites, it is all the more important that we coordinate with everyone involved in the project. This is the only way to ensure that materials are stored in the best possible way and are always available when needed. 📦🕒 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧? 🏗️ Where do we put the wall elements that we will deliver the day after tomorrow? Through good communication and planning, we manage to organise the workflow smoothly and keep the project on track. 📊 To this end, we use our BIM construction site simulation at a very early stage of the order to visualize the processes and requirements of timber construction assembly in advance. 🌲During construction site operations, an accurately managed Kanban board helps us to visualize individual activities such as deliveries and material movements in a process-oriented manner. 🗂️🚚 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞! 💪✨ 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡-𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 🏘️ We take care of the workshop and assembly planning, the prefabrication of structural components, elements and ceilings as well as for the assembly and the prefabricated concrete parts in the loggia areas of the multi-story buildings with 162 flats for Münchner Wohnen. 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩 🌄✨ In Frontignano, Italy, we needed more or less 10 months to assemble the three timber structures for the reconstruction to assemble three structures for the reconstruction of the Residence Ambassador Hotel with around 100 apartments, which had been destroyed by an earthquake 🌍💔. Our services included the complete timber 🌲 and roof structure 🏠 as well as the X-LAM wall elements and ceiling elements.🏗️ We started in October 2022 with building B, which was completed in January 2023. In April 2023, we continued with structures A and C. Our fitters only needed approximately 25 days per floor. For structure C, it was even just 12 days.⏳ You could literally see the buildings growing upwards 📈 and in November 2023 we were able to complete the timber construction work before the harsh winter months at an altitude of 1,400 meters. ⛰️ In 2024, guests will once again be able to enjoy all the benefits of the Residence Ambassador 🌟 and the beautiful landscape when looking out of the window. 📌End of construction: 2025 📍Location: Frontignano, Ussita 📌Client: Garc Spa. #rubner #betterwithwood #architecture #garc #residenceambassador #patriarche #reconstruction

🌟 Topping-out ceremony in Freiburg! 🌟 On September 12, 2024, we celebrated the new building at the Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg, bringing together around sixty guests from construction, planning, and future users. Mr. Matthias Einwächter (Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg), Mr. Hans-Georg Kotthoff (Rector of the Haute Ecole pédagogique Fribourg - Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg (HEP | PH FR) ), and architect Mr. Stephan Birk (BHundF Architektur) expressed their gratitude to all craftsmen and builders involved in this four-story timber construction. In just nine months, the framework of this institute building has taken shape, featuring a wooden skeleton structure optimized for efficiency and sustainability. The innovative design incorporates prefabricated elements, ensuring a contemporary approach to timber construction. Construction manager Daniel Fiedrich led the traditional ceremony, wishing for the successful and safe completion of the project. In a nod to sustainability, we opted for a potted fir tree instead of a traditional crown, symbolizing the cycle of wood and the planting of new life. 𝐀 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 - 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚 🏗️✨ An X-ray view of a pioneering residential construction project: we take a look inside the new “B.R.I.O. - Alles auf Schiene” residential construction project in Vienna, developed by ÖSW. Not far from the main railway station, 175 new apartments are being built. The drawing by architects Dietrich/Untertrifaller Architekten ZT GmbH and PLOV Architekten ZT GmbH provides an insight into a core value of the project: places for encounters and community, such as children's playrooms 🏡, a launderette 🧺, and co-working space 💻. The side view of the inner courtyard shows another special feature: the roof garden. Together with the greenery on the façade, it is designed to combat the summer heat.🌿☀️🌡️ An increasingly relevant topic in cities. For the project, we prefabricated 900 optimized glulam columns and over 9,000 m² of wall elements with a thermally insulated pine façade at our plant in Ober-Grafendorf for faster assembly.⏱️🏠 In this way, new living space is created in a short space of time - and soon we will be able to see how the architects' vision has become reality 🌈🔑.
