Ruby-Collins is off to a great start on the Chattahoochee Raw Water Intake and Pump Station Project. Our crews have completed installing the earthen berm in the river, which will support the sheet pile coffer dam. This coffer dam is crucial for the construction of the raw water intake screening structure. We will continue to provide more project updates as this project progresses! It has been a pleasure working with Garver and Coweta County Water and Sewerage Authority !

Last week, the Ruby-Collins team had the pleasure of visiting the Xylem factory in Sweden! During our visit, we had the opportunity to tour their impressive facility, observe the painstaking assembly of their largest-in-class products, and witness firsthand the extensive testing of their Flygt Pumps. This came about from our CMAR Concord St Pump Station Project for the City of Charleston, SC, which has stringent requirements for pump performance and required the pumps to be tested and witnessed by the engineer, Black & Veatch . This pump stations drains numerous deep; storm drain tunnels from a 180’ deep shaft utilizing up to 4 pumps rated at 62 Million Gallons per Day each! We want to thank everyone at Xylem for their warm hospitality and for the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of their products and processes.

Ruby-Collins is proud to share that we have been featured in a recent article, "Building Water Infrastructure for Growth," which highlights our contributions to enhancing transmission system capacity. The article specifically discusses the challenges we faced in the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge. To accommodate the growing population, our team undertook the construction of approximately a mile of “mat” access roads through tidal wetlands, all while navigating the existing overhead high-voltage transmission lines. You can read the full article for more insights with the link in our bio. #RubyCollins #Water #SouthCarolina #Waccamaw #SewerandWater
