We are grateful to have been involved in selecting Cristo Rey High School as the recipient of such a wonderful donation from the Santa Clara & San Benito Counties Building and Construction Trades Council and the Construction Employers’ Association.
At the recent annual Builders BBQ, Cristo Rey San José received a generous grant of $20,845 towards annual scholarships. The Builders BBQ is a joint effort with the members of the Construction Employers’ Association and the affiliates of the Building Trades Council (BTC) of Santa Clara and San Benito Counties. 100% of the proceeds of the event go to deserving local non-profits thanks to the generosity of many host sponsors. In addition, the BTC has 24 affiliated unions and almost all of them have donated to this year’s BBQ. Cristo Rey SJ was honored to be selected as one of the recipients this year. Our deep thanks to all involved with this event for believing in the Cristo Rey mission of educating our #FirstGen students from underserved communities to reach their fullest potential for college and career! #TheSchoolthatWorks Rudolph and Sletten Joseph J.
