Jennifer Beyer, a Sustainability Project Consultant at IMEG, brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to her role. Jennifer's journey into environmental science was serendipitous, as she initially pursued interior design and landscape architecture before discovering her true passion. Her early love for nature, inspired by childhood experiences like releasing baby salmon and exploring a watershed near her school, laid the foundation for her dedication to making the world a better place. Transitioning to environmental science allowed her to integrate her design interests with her commitment to sustainability. Today, Jennifer leverages her diverse background to develop innovative solutions that marry design goals with environmental stewardship. Throughout her career, Jennifer has made significant contributions, such as being part of the group of External Reviewers for the Social Equity Assessment Method (SEAM), where she played a crucial role in reviewing the first version of the SEAM standard. One of her proudest achievements is her involvement in the Connection on Broadway and Station House project, where each building received its own LEED Platinum certification, a complex task that required navigating different ownerships and obtaining valuable feedback from senior consultants and owners. Jennifer continuously seeks to expand her knowledge in inclusive design, aiming to professionally consult on projects from concept design through operations. Her advice to younger professionals is to advocate for oneself early on, a lesson she believes would have propelled her productivity and career satisfaction sooner. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys dancing, reading, playing games, and engaging in outdoor activities, which reflect her dynamic and vibrant personality. #Sustainability #weareIMEG #IMEGteam
