In honor of Veterans Day, which is just around the corner, we want to bring attention to our partners, CDC Foundation, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention resource, the Veteran Suicide Prevention Evaluation Toolkit (VSPE). This toolkit provides veteran-serving organizations with content on formative and process program evaluation of veteran suicide prevention programs. In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, Safe States is highlighting individuals championing IVP in the Tribal space. Monte Fronk, affiliated with the Mille Lacs Ojibwe Tribe, is doing just that. To support Monte, please consider recognizing the Community Risk Reduction (CRR) efforts of Tribal Nations and educate yourself on the heritage of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. https://loom.ly/rR6_RbU The work of IVP in the Tribal space does not stop with Monte, "There are 580 federally recognized Tribes in the U.S., and many provide CRR and IVP!" - Monte Fronk.

Did you know? Injuries are the leading cause of death and hospitalization for all people 1-44 years old. Since we all enjoyed looking at maps light up red or blue yesterday, I wanted to share our map of #GREEN. As of today, the National Injury Prevention Day (NIPD) map of activities shows 37 cities shining a green light and 47 injury prevention education events. But we want to turn the whole USA map #GREEN.
