Looking for a way to support the community and our veterans? Join the City of Saint Charles for our St. Charles Salutes event on November 9th. There are opportunities for sponsorships, parade entries and vendor spots for the day. We begin with the parade at 11 a.m. followed by a ceremony and all-day celebration with live music, vendors, food and drinks -- all ending with fireworks. Join us in celebrating and thanking our local veterans. Contact Beth Norviel at beth.norviel@stcharlescitymo.gov for more information on how to get involved!

Congrats to Mike Canon, Andrew Orf and Caleb Peters for receiving this quarters Team Award! On May 6th, Truck 9410 was returning from a call when the team came across a group of ladies surrounding a vehicle on Main Street that had an obvious flat tire. The crew stopped to help them and found out that they were from New York visiting family for a Baptism. Since the ladies were not from town they did not know who to call and could not get a response from the car rental company. Helping civilians with flat tires is not a typical job a firefighter/paramedic is called to do but they did it with care, and pride and made sure the driver knew how to safely operate the car with a spare tire.

For those of you who do not know, Detective Derek Sissom has been battling cancer for some time now. The St. Charles Police Officers Association has purchased shirts to support Derek, which can be purchased at the police station during normal business hours ($25). Thank you to Mayor Dan, as well as the St. Charles City Council, for their support of Detective Sissom at last night's council meeting!
