    For anyone who worked in luxury retail over the last 30 years, the name Burt Tansky was synonymous with luxury leader. When I started at Saks in 1995, he was already the competition, leading the Neiman Marcus Group to excellence and establishing it as a leader in the space. Before that, he spent much of his career at Saks, as a merchant and eventually as President, before joining Bergdorf Goodman as CEO. He brought the best of Saks to NMG, solidifying its position as the dominant force in luxury retail at the time. Burt was one of a kind and our industry is better because of his drive and vision. Today, as we bring these iconic brands together, much of what he stood for - innovation, selling culture and great product - remains at the forefront of our strategy. On behalf of Saks Global, I offer our most sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

  • To celebrate the third season of the Emmy award-winning series “The Traitors” , we’re collaborating with Peacock on a digital campaign and custom window displays at the Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship. Set against handmade paper recreations of the show’s iconic Scotland set, the custom window displays feature fashion drawing from the work of esteemed celebrity stylist, Sam Spector. The digital campaign gives customers an opportunity to shop a curated assortment of fashion inspired by host Alan Cumming’s memorable, eye-catching looks worn on this season of the show, as well as a behind-the-scenes look into Sam Spector’s styling process in an exclusive interview on Saks.com.   • We’re thrilled to join forces with Saturday Night Live (SNL) for its 50th anniversary. In celebration of the cultural milestone, we are unveiling a special window installation at the Saks Fifth Avenue New York flagship honoring the cultural impact of the show over the past five decades. Curated in partnership with SNL’s costume designer, the windows use archival costumes and video from memorable sketches, highlighting the intersection between costume design and storytelling.
