Congratulations to our newest DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses recipient, My Nguyen, RN, from A3! This is My's second DAISY Award, receiving her first in June 2023. My was nominated by a patient's wife who shared the following: "My Nguyen is the nurse who cared for my husband the most while hospitalized for chemotherapy after a new diagnosis of lymphoma. Not only was she very skilled and knowledgeable, but she was also on top of every little change, and treatment. Additionally, she was professional but compassionate, demonstrated her genuine caring attitude and mannerisms. Her dedication to nursing and devotion to her patients, as well as family members was very evident in her care and communication. Always explained things well and kept us appropriately updated and informed. My Nguyen is a gem, and focuses on the qualities, expertise, caring, and devotion that define what it means to be a nurse. She is a very organized individual, and a hard worker who maintains her skills while still examining the humanity component to the highest level.
