Internships. We hear so much about the importance of internships. Enter RISE Center at Coastal Carolina University. Dr. Pamela Martin has been successful in securing grants to launch sustainable career opportunities for students. Partners in Georgetown and Horry have stepped up to host CCU students. Students do in-depth research and then present. This week I had the honor of witnessing this relevant work. While Dr. Martin had the vision, this is 💯 possible because of the incredible business and community partners opening their minds and doors to these students. Many have been successfully hired over the years. Interested? Let us know! Our job fair in honor of National Hire A Veteran Day was a success! At approximately 10% of South Carolina's population, veterans are a significant part of our community. It was fantastic to see that 50% of the attendees at our event today were veterans. We had the privilege of hosting outstanding employers from the Upstate and surrounding areas. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to planning and organizing this event! #NationalHireAVeteranDay #VeteransInSC
