Part of the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s work to ensure South Carolina’s sustained advantage requires being adaptable and forward-thinking. Our agency is proud to work with industry partners, like Sustain SC, to help businesses in every industry achieve their goals – including sustainability goals that will help keep South Carolina the best state to live, work and play for generations to come. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the 2024 Sustainability Symposium and accept this award in person. It was also an honor to moderate a discussion on the impressive innovations in #sustainability already underway throughout our state. Thank you for the great conversations, Suzanne Dickerson, Dennis Kunz, Sam Packard and Dr. Arunachalam Lakshminarayanan!

The new office will develop opportunities for foreign direct investment in the state, particularly in the life sciences, automotive and advanced energy sectors – as well as for exporting. South Carolina’s expanded global presence builds on decades of strong, bilateral relationships throughout the UK. Bosch USA, a cornerstone of South Carolina manufacturing, recently celebrated 50 years in Charleston! Five decades of success in business and community have made #BoschCharleston the company's largest U.S. manufacturing facility, positioning it for many more achievements in the years to come.
Celebrating 50 years of innovation and community! The Bosch Charleston facility, which opened its doors in 1974, recently marked its golden anniversary with a Family Day celebration, bringing together associates and their families as well as retired associates. Stefan Grosch, member of the Bosch board of management, joined the event to congratulate the Charleston team. As Bosch’s largest U.S. manufacturing site, with more than 1,700 associates, the Charleston facility has been a key player in producing high-pressure fuel injectors and pumps for internal combustion engines, electric motors for EVs, and safety products like ESP® for Bosch Mobility. Here’s to 50 years of excellence and many more to come! #BoschCharleston #LikeABosch #50YearsOfInnovation #Mobility #Manufacturing
