Celebrating World Teachers' Day & World Mental Health Day 🌏 At SCIREARLY, we recognize the vital connection between education and well-being, the incredible role teachers play in shaping futures and the importance of mental health in ensuring students' success. 🏫 Teachers are the foundation of our education system, helping children to thrive both academically and personally. They also play a key role in identifying early signs of mental health struggles in their students. 🧠 Mental health is essential for everyone, especially for vulnerable students who may be at risk of leaving school early. By promoting positive learning environments and mental well-being, we can help reduce educational underachievement and foster resilience in both students and educators. The theme for World Teachers' day this year is 'valuing teacher voices: towards a new social contract for education.' As part of the SCIREARLY project, we are committed to supporting teachers and promoting mental health across schools to ensure all children have the best opportunity to succeed. Let’s continue working together to create classrooms where every child can thrive. Research shows that nearly ten percent of young people in Europe aged 18 to 24 leave school early. This is linked to lower employment chances, poverty, and reduced participation in societal activities. Early school leaving and underachievement doesn't just impact children and young people - it affects families, communities and society as a whole. 🔎 The SCIREARLY project identifies several key factors that contribute to reducing early school leaving and underachievement in Europe. Watch the video to explore some of the key findings and recommendations from the SCIREARLY policy brief aimed at addressing these challenges. 💪 For more details, read the full policy brief: 👉https://lnkd.in/eCDW8ijX European Research Executive Agency (REA) #earlyschoolleaving #research #europe
