Today we celebrate two years of connection, partnership, and community.     On March 20, 2023, we officially planted our roots here in South Carolina and set out on a journey to forge a new Scout® era. Since then, we've created hundreds – soon to be thousands – of jobs, began building our Production Center from the ground up, and built strong relationships within our community. Scout vehicles have always had the unique ability to turn miles into memories, forge bonds, and find common ground.   I had the joy of meeting the Jackson family of Ravenswood, WV, at our recent concept reveal. Their family story is as beautiful as their restored ’79 Scout II.   Some families are simply unforgettable, and some stories must be told. Thank you to CBS News’ Kris Van Cleave for sharing the Jackson family's story and the power of the Scout brand and way of life. A lot can change over four decades, but the way Scout vehicles bring people together is timeless.    We carry the Jackson family's story and many others with us as we work to meet this powerful American moment. We have the awesome privilege at Scout Motors to revitalize an American icon, create 4,000 good-paying jobs, and build connection machines that Americans love. It's a breathtaking task, and one we're more than up for and proud to tackle. Now more than ever, the world needs more scouts.

This time last year, we broke ground on our state-of-the-art production center in Blythewood, South Carolina. Now, one year later, our vision is quickly becoming a reality—thanks to the hard work of our construction teams. What were skeletal structures just months ago are now taking shape with walls and roofing. The body shop, central, technology, and assembly buildings are officially connected, tying our main facilities together. The final heavy steel beam is in place, and to mark the occasion, our CEO, Scott Keogh, joined the construction crew in signing it—literally “signing off” on this milestone. When complete, this facility will span 1.3 million square feet, produce 200,000 Scout vehicles annually, and create 4,000 permanent jobs in the area. A project this ambitious isn't built overnight—but this is about as close to raising a barn in a day as it gets. Scouts have always led the way.   When International Harvester introduced the original Scout® vehicles, they saw something the industry didn't–women were shaping the future of adventure. At a time when 4x4 vehicles were marketed mostly to men, IH was a trailblazer in the field, showing that the road ahead was for everyone.   Today, as we build the next generation of Scout vehicles, that same pioneering spirit lives on. Women are not just part of the journey, they're driving our vision and vehicles forward. Time flies when you're busy revitalizing an icon, a brand, and a movement that unites a community.  This week, we had the honor of bringing our Scout® Terra™ and Traveler™ vehicle concepts to the steps of the South Carolina State House - back to where our journey and partnership first began in 2023. As we reflect on the progress we’ve made, we’re reminded of the strong foundation we’ve built together and all we have to look forward to here in the Palmetto State.
