There are days when I believe I’m a 'normal' human. And then I go to NYC, where adventures happen, and that illusion evaporates. On Tuesday, we played, reflected, and told stories at the SDN New York Chapter LEGO Serious Play event. I had SO MUCH fun! So thankful: ∙that I could come. And meet everyone. And enjoy! ∙for a full circle moment — from being a speaker remotely in August 2021 to now being an in-person attendee in August 2024. ∙for the beautiful headband from our facilitator and artist Lee Kim. The condition of receiving this gift is wearing it - I did it in NYC, and I'm ready to try a day in Halifax too 😃 To my table co-players — you made this experience exciting! It's a joy to be around design-minded folks ready to experiment and learn from each other. SDN New York Chapter hosted July gathering tonight at Intuit . Tucker Fort from SmartDesign shared action oriented innovation delivery with insightful examples. One thing that stood out to me was how his approach was looking for a way to bring "tangible" future. Designers are optimists. We believe that we can create a better future together.
